Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your offices located?

I have two physical office locations for in-person sessions:

  • Los Gatos Office: Centrally located in Los Gatos, California.
  • San Francisco Office: Conveniently located in San Francisco, California.

I also offer telehealth video sessions to clients residing anywhere throughout the state of California.

How long does therapy take?

The duration of therapy depends entirely on your personal history, what you are working on, and your goals. We will discuss this together and collaboratively check in on our progress as we go.

I’ve never done therapy before. What can I expect?

Our first few sessions are about getting to know each other, building relational safety, and constructing a clear picture of what you are carrying and what you are hoping for. There is absolutely no pressure to go anywhere or share anything you are not ready to share. My job is to follow your lead, respect your pacing, and help you discover things that may be hard to see from inside the experience.

Do you work with children, teens, or families?

My practice focuses exclusively on adults and couples. I do not currently offer therapy for children, adolescents, or family systems.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for session cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, will be billed at the full session rate, except in cases of sudden illness or emergency.

Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?

Yes, fully and without reservation. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, relational, and supportive of all relationship structures, genders, and identities.

Are you currently taking new clients?

Availability shifts regularly. Please reach out via my contact form or by phone to check current openings or join my waitlist.

What are the session fees?

  • Individual Therapy Sessions (50 minutes): $200
  • Couples Therapy Sessions (80 minutes): $295
  • Initial Consultation: I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for all new clients to discuss what brings you in and see if we feel like a good fit.

Will my insurance cover the fees?

I am an out-of-network (OON) provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. However, many PPO insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services.

If you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, I can provide a monthly superbill (a detailed clinical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company.

I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card before our first session and asking:

  1. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits for outpatient psychotherapy?
  2. What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
  3. What percentage of the session fee is covered after my deductible is met?
  4. How do I submit superbills for reimbursement?
